Product Description
1)Blast joints serve a dual purpose in oil well operations. They are used to guard the tubing string against the erosive effects of flowing gases and fluids by being placed opposite perforations. Additionally, they can be located directly below the well head to shield the tubing string from the wear and tear caused by hydraulic fracturing operations down the annulus.
2)Blast joints are expertly crafted from high-quality steel, which is carefully heat-treated to reach a hardness range of between 28 and 36 RC. This treatment ensures maximum abrasion resistance and strength. In cases where H2S services are required, the blast joint is available heat-treated within a hardness range of 18 to 22 RC, in compliance with the NACE specification MR0175
3)Alternative materials can be procured upon request. The internal diameter (ID) of the tubing is consistently maintained through the Blast joint, resulting in the same Outer Diameter (OD) as that of standard tubing couplings. The Blast joint typically comes with API EUE (External Upset End) tubing connections; however, it can be cut to accept various thread connections as per your requirements.
